Learn To Produce At Home
Learning From Home Has Never Been Easier!
With cheap software, fast internet and unlimited resources (and time for some of us) we are living in the best time to learn new skills, brush up on new ones and maybe even learn about things we didn't know we needed.
How It Works
With cheap and fast computers readily available, there is no reason to not learn online.
In fact, you don't even need a computer with a webcam (camera) - we can do simple screen sharing that is easy to set up and use!
Depending on your needs as a producer, I will create a custom curriculum that will outline what we will working on.
This will keep us on task and ensure to maximize your time with me.
- Introduction to Ableton Live
- Using controllers with Ableton Live
- Using MIDI Instruments & Effects
- Warping Audio
- Creating Edits
- Intro to Mixing & Mastering
- Sound Design & Synthesis
- Much More!
Let's Schedule Some Time!
My Experience As A DJ, Producer & Educator
Additionally, I am a veteran graphic designer, label owner / A&R as well as a smarty-pants marketer.
Over 20 Years Experience Producing
I've been making electronic / bass music for over 20 years. Starting with a very crappy PC, cracked software and some loops, I started teaching myself how to make beats in 1997.
Since then, a lot has changed. Software has improved drastically, computers have become relatively inexpensive and electronic music has never been more popular, with new genres and sub genres emerging every 2 - 3 years.
12+ Years Of Active DJing
I started DJing in 2007 - honestly just to play my own tunes. I used a beat up pair of decks (still have them!), a very crappy mixer and learned mixing the same 5 records over and over again.
Gradually I moved on to digital DJing, using CDJ's in clubs - which opened me up to being able to play my own original music, mixed with my favorite artists, giving me a true competitive edge over other DJ's.
Since then, I have played hundreds of gigs - some with my own original music, some playing genre specific sets and some doing open format / mainstream gigs (the best paying, of course).
I can help any DJ or producer improve their DJ experience by creating edits, improving poor quality recordings (older music) as well as assist with learning Serato, Rekordbox, Traktor, etc.
9+ Years Teaching Music Production & DJing
I started teaching Music Production at the Scratch DJ Academy in Miami almost 10 years ago.
Since then I have taught hundreds of students from all over the world the basics of music production with Ableton Live, as well as more advanced subjects such as mixing, mastering, improving creative workflow and many other topics.
Some students simply pay me to listen to their production, provide creative feedback and constructive criticism.
Some students want to learn basic music theory, how to improve arrangements and most of all, how to keep music production FUN and, well, productive.
